Rainbow Bandz Organization Box {Review}

This is the RAINBOW BANDZ ORGANIZATION BOX from Rainbow Bandz. Of course the name says it all, it is an organizer for all your rainbow loom bands and accessories. I have a good size collection of rainbow loom bands of all colors and got really tired of keeping them in clear plastic separate bags. I was so glad to get to try this organization box, so as soon as I received it I started my sorting.
It is a clear box that comes with separate dividers and slotted rows so that you can get the size that you want and need for your bands and/or accessories. This makes setting up your box to your desire very simple. I have roughly about 5000 rainbow loom bands of many different colors that I would have to take from each of the bags to make my bracelets. How annoying that can be..I make the bracelets with my little daughter who loves them on her wrist but between pulling a couple of each color out makes for a mess.
The picture above shows a great example (not mine) of how having rainbow loom bands need to be organized. It is not clustered, visually appealing, color coordinated and of course the best thing is that everything is in one place. Now this example shows equally sorted compartments with one longer compartment for your loom board and accessories.

This picture is what my organizer looks like. I have large amounts of bands and therefore my compartments are not as equally divided. However I now have organization with my loom bands which makes enjoying quality time with my daughter less stressful.

The great thing I love about this organization box is that it really isnt necessarily for only rainbow loom bands but I can see you using it as a jewelry case also. It snaps close really tightly so that what is inside will remain in there. It is also very durable because mine has taken a couple of tumbles without even moving the bands around. Everything stayed in its compartment.

It retails on Amazon for $9.99 (free shipping for customers with prime) with a money back guarantee. You will be very impressed with the quality and ease of this box.

Enjoy!

Martial Arts for Kids Review - Online Course

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I know everyone out there with kids are always looking to find what else they can do with their kids without bursting a hole in their pocket. I do not know about other states but I am from New York City and you have to pay dearly to get your kids involved in activities. He/She will be lucky if they get chosen to be in an after school program or weekend activity for free. I was given the opportunity to try Udemy - Martial Arts for Kids online course with my 5 year old son.

This course would cost you $27.00 with a 30-day money back guarantee, if you believe this is not something you would love your kid to be involved in. There is lifetime access after you have purchased, therefore you can always refresh their/your skills at any time. It is also accessible with your Ipad, Iphone or Android phones/tablets, so it can be accessed anywhere at anytime once there is internet connection. The best thing about this course also is that your kid gets his/her Certificate of Completion which would look great and him/her will feel proud to display.

In this course your kid would learn the fundamentals of martial arts, which includes the protocols, self defense and anti bullying tactics. Your kid/s will be taught by professional martial arts teachers who have teaching for over 20 years. There are 15 lectures in the course; the videos and handbook is very precise but easy enough for your kid/s to understand. My son is currently on Lecture 5 and I encourage him to do 1 lecture every week with a repeat of the previous so that he stays fresh.

HEROES OF THE CITY - BABY APP REVIEW

I am a huge fan of the Heroes of the City app and tv show that have been out a while now and have been using it with my son who is now 5 years old. This app is fun and interactive too and I feel safe allowing my son to use it without supervision. It teaches them about listening to warnings, being kind, sharing and ofcourse watching out for each other. This is a great app geared towards kids 2-6 years. I am pleased to know that they have now introduced their Heroes of the City Baby App.

This Heroes of the City Baby App is suitable for kids 0-2+ years old and is cleverly designed for it to be just as interactive, educational and inspiring for the young ones. Best thing is that it is completely FREE.

The app includes:
• 3 animated short movies (Language: English and Swedish )
Main Menu

One Movie - About Fiona about 1:30min
The movies are not long (max 1:38min) which is great because some kids that young do have a short attention span and that way they are still interested in watching it over and over again.

• Music Panel with two different themes
My daughter who is 18 months love this panel. Everything on the screen can be interacted with and her favorite is the windshield wipers (she finds it to be very funny)

• Color and shape game
It is very simple for them to use and it changes the shapes and the colors often so that they learn the shape and colors rather than remembering what the game does.

• Magic coloring game
Artwork compliments of my daughter. They are able to draw on this screen using their fingers and it changes color every time they raise their finger away. This encourages them to want to do more because of the expectation of  the change in color.

• Balloon Game

This is my daughters favorite after the music panel. She enjoys popping the balloons and watching her gain different color stars.

This app is completely free, so there is no need for any in app purchases or in app advertising which makes this completely safe for your young ones. Here is a video about the Heroes of the City Baby App:

After viewing this video I am certain that you are not disappointed but rather inspired to get the app. Get it here on both the App Store and Google Play.  Learn more about Heroes of the City on the YouTube Channel also. Enjoy!!

Disclosure: Received this complimentary and after use, I am reviewing based on my experience with my kids. All opinions are honest and unbiased.

Rainbow Loom Quality Refill Pack - 5400 Bands

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. I am a HUGE fan of the rainbow bands bracelet craze. I have bought so many bands from Amazon (coming from China) and they always tend to break and give off a smell but I never worried about it because I was always changing them. When I started to show my daughter and nieces how to make them, they got a bit upset because the bands were always breaking especially when we tried the fishnet technique. I kept on buying the bands by the hundreds (200-300) for about $5.00 which I didnt think that was a bad price until I got the 5400 pack.

The Rainbow Loom Bandz 5400 pack I received from Rainbow Bandz cost only $24.98 on Amazon. They come in 9 different colors (Red, Yellow, White, Orange, Green, Blue, Purple, Pink and Black). Each individual pack has 600 bands and as a plus it comes with each its own plastic mini hook and clips.

The bands are really strong, quality is great and Rainbow Bandz guarantee that on purchase within 365 days. Clearly I have not been disappointed by them and it will create hours of fun without the stress of breaking bands.

Get them now on Amazon for 50% off retail costs.

HEROES OF THE CITY!!

I am a mom of both a 5 year old boy and a 18 month old girl and they both are owners of their own tablets. My son has an Ipad and my daughter has a Samsung Kids tablet. I am always looking for the best apps that will help them learn, be interactive and fun so that it keeps their interest. When my son used to watch cartoons on youtube, there was one that really stood out to me which is called "Heroes of the City".

Heroes of the City is a television cartoon show which is targeted towards kids 2 - 6 years old that teaches them the simplicity of being a hero in the little that you do. A fantastic show that all parents will be proud of having their kids watch!!!

To make it even better, they now have an app that has both the movies and games. The reason I  love this app so much is because my kids are able to relate and even try to figure out how someone would need help. We get to meet Pauli the Police Car and Fiona the Fire Engine who help people around the small town and who could forget Calamity Crow who constantly finds himself in problems where he would need help. Calamity Crow is always being warned but seems to either forget or just be plain absent minded. Besides just watching the movies/episodes, kids get to do puzzles, color and also gain trophies that can unlock their secret surprise.

My son can spend hours at a time watching and playing and I am not concerned because it is safe, fun and I know that he is learning lots from it. He has now been engaging his little sister and showing her the different characters and there are many. It teaches them both about friendship, sharing and helping each other which goes a long way when it comes to siblings.Highly recommend this application for all parents who are looking for something that is fun and educational.

"THE HAPPYS" - TRUE WINNER FOR MAKING KIDS SMILE

I was privileged to get the opportunity to have a first hand look at the newest sensation from Cepia, the makers of Zhu Zhu pets (via MomSelect) called "The Happys" which are an absolute joy for kids 4 years and older.

I received Mittens (Cat) with treat and Sport (Dog) with treat to have my kid engage with, along with the Chase Ball. Those toys are interactive & motorized and follow the lead of the kid who has the treat. They also can be trained which is great for the Zhu Zhu brand and makes the fun never ending. Each treat teaches the pet new tricks so the more treats you have, the more fun they will have. They provide hours of entertainment for your kids and lots of laughter also. They also play back with the kids unlike the other Zhu Zhu pets from Cepia so that is an upgrade. If you are not one to have/own pets then these are perfect for your family(kids), because they are like having real pets without having to feed them (well refreshing the batteries ever once in a while). I am definitely eager to see what other accessories they will be coming out with since my kids enjoyed them so much. By the way personally I loved Mittens because she is so adorable and fluffy and gives a great impression of the perfect cat (if there is any).

My son, who is turning 5 years old had an ecstatic time playing with both of the pets at the same time. He said to me," Mommy thank you, thank you, I love them." Although I have 2 real cats, he find "The Happys" to be more fun (he still and will always loves his real cats). Make sure you keep handy batteries because the pets or play ball does not come with batteries (uses AAA) but the treats do. They are currently in stores now from Walmart, Toys R Us and Amazon.

I found Walmart to be the cheapest so far, here are the links:

Mittens  - The Kitten {$17.97}
Chance - The Beagle {$17.97}
Sport - The Chocolate Lab {$17.97}
Bentley - The Golden Retriever {$17.97}
Chase Play Ball - {$9.97}

Go ahead and learn the Happy's dance and share your skills with others.

These will make great birthday presents and Christmas gifts. They are a true winner to making kids smile.
I gave them 5 out 5 stars.

'SHE' Got Sick -- My Steffi K

My Daughter

She got sick....

I know that this is with every kid so it isn't a surprise that kids get sick. I have a son who is about to turn 5 years old in May so I know a little something about dealing with a sick kid. The thing is, every child is different and you just never know what to expect. I always think I am able to manage and control the situation but I cannot which I also know. My daughter is now 16 months as of today and she has been sick for over a week now. She has a viral infection. From what? I have no clue.. How? I do not know.. When will it go away? I am hoping soon.. The way this virus is attacking her is not life threatening but it has caused her to be so miserable and sad and always tired. The doctors said that she is in pain but her immune system is fighting it just needs sometime.

I do not like a sick kid or my kid being sick and no matter how many times you go through it or how many kids you take care of each one is always so different. I tend to blame myself sometimes, just wondering what did I miss, what did I not do or what could have been done better.

Note to self ---- Do not beat yourself up about it. Kids get sick and when they are small they are unable to let you know exactly what is wrong but it gets better. You are able to read your kid and understand just by the gestures they make. You are mommy, you are their hero... you are their comfort no matter what.. Daddy is their strength and also their hero.. Always take the necessary steps to make them feel and get better. Not every time they are sick an emergency room run is necessary (I tend to forget).

This is the first time she was really down and out and not my little trooper as usual but she is getting better. Kids are our rock and they keep us grounded. Love them. Cherish them. Care for them.
