TERRY TREETOP & THE LOST EGG EBOOK (Review)

  • Childrens Book
  • Age: 2-6 years old
  • 42 pages
  • Written by: Tali Carmi

Terry Treetop & the Lost Egg is a fun with a mini adventure ebook for kids. The book features a boy named Terry who loves climbing trees and have been given a nickname Terry Treetop because of that. In this book Terry goes camping with his family and finds an egg while spying in the grass. He begins his quest of finding who the egg belongs too. The book helps kids learn about the outdoors and animals such as turtles, alligators, frogs and more and how they take care of their unborn. The author (Tali Carmi) also rhymes the entire story which makes it even more fun for the kids to read. After reading it to my son, he was able to tell me more about the animals and their habitat and also not to give up when you want to do something. Terry Treetop remains patient through out the search to locate the owner of the egg and was very excited when he helped the egg get back home. Your kid is going to love this book and it also filled with lots of pictures (which kids love) to help their imagination run wild. This book is great for Grade 1 beginner readers and up although it states Pre-K students I believe it is a bit too advanced for them.

Right now on Amazon.com this book is free for the kindle version.

Almost Perfect - E-Book Review

Mystery, Light Thriller, Suspense
362 pages
Author: Orly Krauss-Winer

I have never been really big on thriller books, I mainly read romance novels with a little bit of not of this world experiences. I took a while before I started the book because after reading the prelude it did not pull me in as much as I would like. But once I started I was glued to my subway sit for every ride, twice almost missing my stops.

The book introduces you to 3 women (Alona, Tamar & Nilli) that are best friends who work as lawyers at a prestige law firm. In comes Lior, an attractive, people pleaser who "looks" like he is absolutely perfect. Alona, who is married falls deep in love with him but was not willing to leave her husband/family for him. He moves on to Tamar who now believes that he can not do any wrong in her eyes. But before they are able to create their perfect union, he is murdered. Oh the agony you may think. This is where I believe the title "Almost Perfect" draws you in. This novel brings in so many characters that are all intertwined and deceived by the ones they love.

As the story unravels, the victim or victims may just be turning out to be the suspects or so we think. The author (Orly Krauss-Winer) invites you into their lives and while reading you feel like you are there, riding along every event whether it is in the now or in the past. The story then comes to life so amazingly when you think you have solved the mystery it takes a nose drive, and have you questioning the why, who and when. I give this book two thumbs up from beginning to end and it will keep you entertained and in suspense.

EBOOK - Argan Oil: Quick Guide to Best Uses of Argan Oil for Hair, Skin and Nails - {Review}

Ebook - Kindle Version
Author: Ana Valeri
38 Pages
$2.99 on Amazon
Brand: Bebelush

This ebook is a short yet very informative book that tells in great detail about the benefits of Argan Oil aka Liquid Gold. At the beginning of the book you learn about the origins of argan oil, how and what the moroccan women used it for. Ana Valeri (author) goes in to the detail of the tedious process of getting the argan oil out of the nut kernels.

Before reading this book I heard lots of benefits of argan oil but the way Ana Valeri explains (with detail) each ingredient found in the argan oil that I really came to understand why argan oil is called liquid gold. Within the argan oil you get vitamin e, polyphenols, essentail fatty acids and many more which are all good for the skin, hair and nails.

This book also has do-it-yourself hair and skin homemade masks that are less expensive and more effective than buying. After reading this book, I do not believe you will ever go back to using anything but the real thing. Argan oil by far is one amazing oil with great benefits such as heals skin infections, alleviating itchy scalp, clearing acne, nail strengthening plus many more.

Nothing natural never comes cheap but before buying into the cheaper substitute think about the loss of all the great benefits.

Whole Latte Love Ebook

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
I love a book that keeps me interested in what the next page entails. In this contemporary romance book from my reading I gathered that author Rachelle Ayala draws on how another person can impact positivity into another persons life if we allow it.

We meet Carina Chen who is a career driven individual who has moved out to Berkeley, CA from Philadelphia to intern at Mogul Bank for the summer. While debating on finding a place to stay that is convenient and cheap she meets Dylan Jewell. Dylan is a charming, carefree and rockstar who has girls swooning over him day in and night out.

After becoming roommates, they realize they are more a like but yet so different in many ways. Carina is the nerdy Asian who isnt all over Dylan but secretly wants him to touch her so badly that she cannot even think straight. Dylan is the hot, sexy barista, who is also a rockstar and absolutely eye catching that he would never believe that a girl like Carina would want him.Carina thinks he is too relaxed and not as committed to anything like herself which makes her shy away from wanting him. When her boss - Rebecca (Dylans ex and soon to be StepMom) encourages her to pursue him so that he can work for his father, she starts to fall hard for him. She is on the border now of loving him and having him hate her if he finds out.

This book is absolutely amazing, it is romantic and lusting with so many emotions involved that you start to feel like you are apart of their life. I was so torn between understanding Carina and loving everything about Dylan. You do not want both to fail and lose what they love but you want them to see from early on how good they are for each other.

Meet the author Rachelle Ayala here and on Facebook.

{Book Review} Sky2 Detritus Machine

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Sky2 - Detritus Machine
Post Apocalyptic Thriller/234 Pages

After reading Sky1 Foundation I was thrilled to get into what happened after finally emigrating but them not making out alive. With Jane presumably dead and Storme looking like he was close enough to being dead, what was Nick to do? What comes next is not what this book is actually about. What events happened before Nick was married, while he was still with Carmen and what went on on Muldoin.

Ten years into the past we now start to know about Nick's  time in Muldoin (Ground 42). Imagine my excitement when reading because I wanted to know what really happened in Muldoin. What exactly did Nick learn that he wanted to share with the world so bad while down there. From the beginning I got lost into the words and with such vivid descriptions the book naturally came alive in my head.

We meet up with Anna, her intrigue and mystery draws Nick in while on his assignment and he risks his assignment to learn about her. From there on, Anna pulls Nick into a world where he probably wishes he could unsee all the stuff that began happening around him. No one seems to be who they really are including his co workers who seem to haggle him every time they could. We learn about the so called "Machine" family and the Deformer creature who is a man-machine. Anna and Nick become closer than you would think because of all the near death situations that will arise. William Amerman (author) once again brings you into the madness of the world and its grounds. With the world Nick knows everything changes when he learns what is actually beyond the walls and can he believe that it is real. You now begin to truly understand how tight and restricted the lower grounds are and that everyone in the end wants a world without all the rules and more living space, which we learn are put in place to cause rebellion. But why?

Get lost in the world, its people and its political craziness.

Get your copy on Amazon for $5.99 or on Smashwords, it will be more than worth it.

{BOOK REVIEW} -- HAVEN by D.C Akers

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

To begin the Haven Series Collection (Books 1 & 2) was absolutely captivating. Nothing could've prepared me for the turns and twists that were about to come forth. I got this series to try complimentary and after reading the description below, I was already drawn in:
Known as a place of refuge, Haven is a sanctuary for those with supernatural abilities. Decades of peace between the Witches, Vampires, Goblins, Elves, and Orcs is coming to an end. Now the once tranquil world is shrouded in deception and corruption. Dark secrets tear at the very fabric of their alliance, giving way to an evil that stirs in the shadows. Exhilarating and utterly gripping, the HAVEN series is an action-packed journey full of suspense, magic, mystery, and intrigue.

Book 1  A Stranger Magic -- tells us about Sam Dalcome and his life (a life in which he doesn't necessarily love or understand). He is a young teenager who is a loner except for that one friend (Travis) who shares more than just being outcast. They both have lost parents so they stick together because of this bond. Although Sam has his sister Sarah (who is attractive and popular) and mother Alisa (who works double shifts often) it is still difficult for him to fit in. After having a weird dream one night he sees a mysterious stranger lurking outside his home. This is when the mystery really begins. Between trying to find out who this stranger is and why is he here and just being a normal kid, things take a turn for the worse. Join Sam on his journey and learn about his life, his family & their secret.

Book 2 Revenge of the Viper -- this is an epic continuation of Book 1 because slowly as the secrets unfold. The Haven, is a world where witches, vampires, orcs, elves and recently goblins live in peace in order to save their world and their kind. But all that might just be coming to an end now that Vipers are on earth and after the Dalcomes. Questions will now linger ... Who are the Dalcomes? What is to come of the Haven? Sam, Sarah, Alisa & Travis are now in for a rude and disturbing awaking on life as their once knew it.

Be captivated by the mystery, the magic & the danger in those books. D.C. Akers is an amazing author with a wide and vivid imagination that brings the Haven to life as you read. D.C Akers takes you into his world as you read and the books flow so easily from one to the next.

BOOK REVIEW - Sky1 - Post-Apocalyptic Thriller

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Thriller/266 Pages

Post Apocalyptic thriller that keeps you glued to your sit. It follows Nick Burke 'journalist' trying to get his family out of the current ground they live on because things are changing and changing for the worst. Based 700 years in the future, where the world has grown that it builds cities (grounds) upward. The higher you go the better the living circumstances and of course the lower you are the more unbearable it becomes.

The reason I love this book because the author (William Amerman) keeps you wanting to know more about life after hundreds of years and guessing will it ever come to this. Has the worlds population expanded so much that we need to build up into the sky? We meet characters that are involved with Nick Burke, members of this group that he has trusted to help and ensure him and his family to get emigrated to another level. Quarantine takes over his level to control this 'Malady' (sickness) that has taken over and walls are being put up all over the ground barricading people in.
Every moment  throughout this book is so descriptive that you feel as if you are right there along side Nick, running, dodging and attempting to help each circumstance with valor and praying he doesn't get caught.

Follow the roller coaster of events that come about through out the book with flashbacks of how they all came about and got to this point. Meet Nick, Jane (his wife), Simon (his son) and many more. They are all intertwined with each other and you get to meet each one and understand their story. One goal in mind for everyone - to get to higher ground by any means possible.

I hope you the readers enjoy it as much as I did... Enjoy!!
