TMI - City of Bones (Movie Review)

I want to start this off by saying Thank You to Crowdtap for allowing me complimentary access to this movie.

Now lets begin.

In order to appreciate a book you must first be able to put yourself in that book and let your imagination and the tale of the book become one. So I read The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones book before I went to watch the movie. I was anxious and excited that the movie was coming out since I was a fan of the book. I started wondering what effects that would come alive from my vivid imagination, what the characters would look like and would the story play out the same.

I have honestly never been a fan of books to movies because in the past I have been disappointed. And guess what, I was yet again. Despite my enthusiasm that was expressed in many forms I was truly hoping for it to be a blow out and to be able to draw in new fans. It did not live up to my expectations and not to say that it was a bad movie, it just wasn't the images that needed to come to life. However, it is definitely worth the watch. Many people who have not read the book will be drawn into the story of being a Mundane, Shadowhunter and a Downworlder. It takes a lot though to meet the standards that I have played out in my head.

All the actors did an amazing job as to bringing the characters to life especially Lily Collins as Clary. She is able to pull us into her drama, confusion, turmoil and mixed emotions without a glitch.

I have listened to this album over and over again and it never gets old. It takes you a different place that can help you start over. Every female needs that song she can go to that kind of motivates you to know that its ok to move on. This album creates a mood for all to enjoy. It takes you back to a time when you were at school and girls were just horrible to a guy breaking you down. The CourtYard Hounds have a come a long way from their first album. This album is amazing and I have to keep repeating this. Even if you never heard CourtYard Hounds and heard Amelita you would instantly fall in love. I recommend this album to listen to for going on roadtrips, cleaning times or just sitting on the subway on your way to work.

SUNDROP DROPPERS!!!

 

Thanks to Crowdtap I was able to share my knowledge of SunDrop soda with my friends and family.

^^^^^ This was my package I received. Lovely right.... I know. Anyway back to my #SurprisinglyGood party details. So we had the party at another party (basically an excuse for the adults to come together at a kids party). This blog is to give you my review on SunDrop soda *especially if you live in New York City*

Preparing for the party was easy because we had the music, the food, the games but not the SunDrop soda. It was sooooo difficult finding this soda in Brooklyn, NY, even going all the way out to Long Island to walmart and still not get any. This was my only problem which made the day difficult in getting pictures from my party which sucked. I waited so long for my sister in law who came from Philadelphia, PA to bring it out to us and by that time my phone died. I don't want to do a comparison based on other sodas since I am not sure what you all like. I am just going to let you know what I thought about it.

POSITIVES:

1. Taste -  It has a lemon lime flavor which is not overwhelmed by the carbonated fizz. It is not sweet but has a bang to your palette. Overall you must love the flavor because it cannot go wrong if you drink sodas.

2. Packaging -  It stands out n the shelf at any grocery store in the aisle. The colors red, green and yellow are not popular (well maybe the green), and the name is bright and bold on the can so it can't be missed.

NEGATIVES:

1. Location -  I would have loved to find it in all the supermarkets. It was so hard to get it out in the city and we get everything even those sodas I never heard of.

2. Advertising -  I honestly would love to see more advertising on tv, billboards and radio for SunDrop in the city, maybe that way more stores will carry it.

Overall, my group of friends and family enjoyed the games (Charades). Next time I must get my pictures and vine in early enough. We all had an amazing time and wish to see more from the SunDrop Family at Crowdtap. Lets get ready for another round.!!! Hip Hooray for SunDrop!!

Dr. Scholl's® For Her High Heel Insoles

Imagine going to an early morning meeting with your best work heels and thinking its going to be a long day sigh.... What do you do or how do you approach this without taking your shoes off after you sit. I have found a solution that not only aids but improves the feel of your feet in high heels. So I'm here to do a review on Dr Scholls For Her High Heel Insoles which I received compliments Influenster in my SunKissed VoxBox.

I had the opportunity of trying out Dr Scholls For Her High Heel Insoles and at first try to be honest it wasn't what I expected because for me, I wanted instant magic (pain free) to happen. But after wearing it through out the day I didn't even notice I was in heels. First off my shoes were tight in the front, so if your shoes aren't wide enough in the front do not expect relief from the insoles. It is meant to give your heel and ball of your feet comfort with the added gel cushion. It comes as a pair so please read on the insole which one is left and which is right.

My day experience with Dr Scholls For Her High Heel Insoles was me going to a wedding on a Friday from 1pm to 9pm and note well that it was the hottest day of the year. From the moment I put it on I had to get used to the extra gel cushion in my high heels and that was really quick and it was extremely comfortable. My heels were 6 inches and I have never worn these heels without taking them off after 2 hours of constant wear and that doesn't necessarily include walking. From the time we left the house I can tell there was a big difference in the feel. We went to the church service and my heels were still on. From 4:30 pm we were on to the reception and still my heels were on. I was able to go through the entire wedding (church service & reception) without complaining or even removing my heels.

A couple of things I would like you to remember and note when buying this. It is thin enough to be used for all heel types which includes sandal type heels, pumps and wedges. If you are unable to buy one for each pair of heels they can be used from one pair to another by easily being removed without any sticky adhesive residue or damage. All in all the experience using Dr Scholls For Her High Heel Insoles was amazing and would recommend this product and others from the Dr Scholls line. Visit DrScholls.
