Pure African Shea Butter {Review}

Shea Butter has gained its popularity over the years especially with pregnant women because it helps to reduce the appearance of stretch marks during and after pregnancy. It was my choice while I was pregnant with both my kids but to be honest it didn't do much. I soon found out that it was most effective in its purest form (100%). I was using products that mixed shea butter with lots of other chemicals, so therefore it was not as efficient.

Receiving 100% Pure African Shea Butter from Cleopatras Choice complimentary was definitely something to look forward to. I have a few stretch marks from my last pregnancy and thought they would "magically" disappear the same way they did in my first pregnancy. This was an opportunity to see if using shea butter in its purest form would make a difference.

I have been using it twice a day and ensuring that I massage it into the skin in a circular motion. I honestly did not expect a difference because I am using this and expecting a change a year and a half after having my baby girl.

My stretch marks have since started fading slowly and the skin appearance on my tummy appears less stretched out. I have since started rubbing my feet and hands at night to improve skins look in the morning. I apply more to problem areas such as the heel and ball of my feet. This shea butter is an instant moisturizer and it is long lasting.

Another reason I love Cleopatras Choice 100% pure shea butter even more is the packaging. I have seen the shea butter being sold in the plastic container so when I received it that was what I was expecting. It comes in its hardened form in a 1 lb plastic container with a resealable lid.  For the price on Amazon (around $12) the 1 lb tub is worth every penny and more. Being that it is in its hardened form, creating natural heat by rubbing it between the palms of your hands will melt it easily for application. It will smooth on a tad bit greasy but it is absorbed quickly into the skin within the minute.

My next task is to melt it to oil form and add it to my oil mixture for my hair. If anyone has tried I would love to know what they have found. I love it for my skin and will continue using it and expecting it to be a game changer for my skin during awful winter.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
